cheesy buffalo chicken dip in puff pastry cups are going to be a major crowd pleaser! All that light, tender crispiness filled with cheesy, melty, saucey chicken, with a kick!
I love buffalo chicken dip! Nadia also loves it…which I guess is why we ate half the pot as we were making it, sorry-not sorry. Super Bowl season is upon us so we took the liberty to make this classic game day dip. But, sometimes you don’t want to have to hover around the food table going back chip after chip. So here lies the genius of the puff pastry cups!
You can grab a box in your frozen food section at your local grocery store. They’re these buttery, multi-layered pre-cut cups that you bake and fill with any ingredients you want. So think of buffalo chicken dip as just the tip of the iceberg!
All you need to do is take some cooked chicken, cream cheese, buffalo wing sauce, ranch dressing, cheddar cheese and bleu cheese and you’re good to go! It’s as easy as throwing them all in a pot and letting them melt away!
When it comes time to fill, I baked the cups, let them cool and then removed the center filling so that only a base sheet of dough was left. That way, I was able to fill each cup with more buffalo chicken dip. If you don’t remove the center, that’s fine too, but then you will have less space for the dip. It’s really a preference thing.
Whatever you decide, you are going to really love this dip! It’s absolutely addictive and you’ll want to make it all the time…Super Bowl or not;-)
