fruit & nut goat cheese pops are probably the cutest and easiest delicious party app you will find! Super simple to make and needing little preparation, these will be your new go to!
So, I’m back at it with party world preparation! Parties can be big events or just having a few people over for quality time. Whichever you prefer, these little goat cheese pops will be a winner! They’re so easy to make and even easier to eat! And hey, they look kinda fancy too!
All you need is some goat cheese of your choice. Then you will roll a tablespoon amount into a ball. You can choose to add herbs to the cheese while rolling. I didn’t because the toppings give enough pizazz, but if more more more is your thing, then bring it on! At this point, all you need are some crushed pistachios, or any kind of nuts you have on hand…or hey, a mix of all the nuts you have on hand! Roll the balls of cheese gently into the crushed nuts, putting enough pressure so they stick, but not so much pressure that you ruin the ball shape you made. Once, the ball is covered with the toppings you want to avoid having to roll it again because the toppings seep into the cheese and they won’t look as pretty.
You will then repeat rolling the balls, but now into your dried cranberries…or blueberries, or apricots….ok ok, I’ll stop. So now you have these pretty red and green balls, festive right! Take your pretzel sticks and poke them in the top and then take a long stalk of chive and gently tie it into a bow shape around the pretzel and slide it on top of the cheese ball! Ta-dah! This super simple, no bake recipe brings out a crowd pleasing party appetizer that looks as great as it tastes!
- 4 ounces goat cheese
- 1/4 cup pistachios, chopped
- 1/4 cup cranberries, dried
- 10 pretzel sticks
- 10 chives
Roll one tablespoon of cheese into a ball with your hands (the colder your hands are the better).
Roll the cheese balls into the pistachios or cranberries until fully covered and repeat.
Poke the pretzel sticks into the cheese balls. Then take a long chive and tie a bow around the pretzel stick and slide it down til it sits on top of the cheese ball.
Have fun with these by substituting nuts and fruits or tying string onto the pretzels!
