My “sort of” first post is very exciting for me! I’m so happy to begin my sweet pillar food journey with all of you!
I say this is my first “sort of” post because I tried to write a blog a while back but it didn’t work out for multiple reasons (I’ll talk more about that later I’m sure) but this is the first blog post on this site.
Long story short, I started Sweet Pillar™ in hopes of keeping traditions alive for my family. Along the way I learned a lot about life, business, myself and so much more. I’ve also met so many great people, customers, mentors and made some great friends, some of whom I call family. I want this blog to be a creative outlet for everything modern middle eastern, a space to connect with all of you, and a way to learn from each other. Not gonna lie, I feel slightly nervous to hit publish and just allow my words to float in internet space but heres to Sweet Pillar™.
Ps. Pour yourself a cup of coffee, sit down, and press the play button on the right. I’m so excited that I figured out how to install the song on here.

Hi Nadia, we are connected on LinkedIn and I came to your website to see what "Sweet Pillar" was all about. I wanted to take the time out to send you a note as I teared up when I was reading your story – I’m filled with alot of emotions and memories of my grandmother but blessed to know that I have them. I can absolutely relate to your story as I yearn to cook only half as good as my "taeta" and covet any recipe that I can get my hands on. I frequently call my mom and khal’at when I need help 🙂 I have little boys and as messy as it can get, I put zeit and zatar in front of them the other day knowing that this will stay with them… so I can only imagine how much stronger the obsession is to pass on the traditions to your daughter. I am always impressed by people that are entrepreneurs and am proud of other women that have the passion and guts to pursue such goals. I wish you all the success and bravo for everything you have and will accomplish…

Thank you SO SO much for sending this message. Your timing couldn’t have been more perfect as I’ve been in a funk for the past few days. A few recipes I tried to make did not come out as intended, a few photographs looked horrible, and it seemed like everything wasn’t working, and your message just lifted my spirits. I have a visual of putting zeit and zaatar in front of your boys in hopes of showing them a glimpse of the culture because I do the same exact thing! It’s a mess and my daughter doesn’t get it but I hope one day she’ll appreciate the effort lol. Thank you again for the message, you have no idea how much it meant to me 🙂
