I’ve partnered with TheFeedFeed & Vitamix to bring you this delicious new baby food recipe!
Ok so as you all know I’m dealing with a toddler and a newborn and as much as I love the newborn innocence and soft, sometimes not so soft cries and whimpers I cannot wait until he is digesting something more than just milk. He is not a happy camper when he drinks milk constantly throwing up and acting fussy.
Don’t judge me, but I got a little ahead of myself and began experimenting with baby food using my new Personal Cup Adapter from Vitamix. Baby food freezes well so I figured making a few batches a couple weeks in advance is not thaaaat crazy, right? I’m clearly not kidding when I say I cannot wait for him to start eating! The great thing about the personal cup adapter is because it’s smaller it made enough but not too much where he’s going to be eating blueberry, peach and spinach baby food for the entire year, although it was so good I don’t think he would mind. The other cool thing about the personal cup adapter is I was able to just flip it over, put the cap that came with it right on, and drink it myself. Oh, wait, you don’t eat the baby food you make for your newborn? You will now!
I wanted to take advantage of peach season because everyone knows I count the seconds until peach season is bestowed upon us. Peaches, blueberries and spinach is a great combination for newborns and toddlers honestly, and like I mentioned earlier Ayla and I finished up the first batch! My daughter calls spinach sneaky spinach because I convinced her the spinach sneaks in there so we can be big and strong. You cannot taste or see the spinach and that is why it’s called sneaky spinach, and she loves it, the story and the baby, not so baby food.
Although a lot of baby food companies claim to be healthy and whatnot I do prefer to make my own baby food if I can. There are times where I have to resort to store bought baby food but I try to have as much in the freezer as possible. The nice thing about using the vitamix is obviously how simple and easy it is. If you’ve ever seen the demo for it you know it’s as easy to clean as it is to use. Both of which are super important especially when you’re a mom! I’ll quit the babbling and get you the recipe because I’m sure you have a hungry baby wanting his food!
